Sonam Bajwa was born and raised in Nanakmatta, a small town in the Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. Her father is a banker, and her mother is a homemaker. She completed her schooling from Jaycees Public School in Rudrapur and went on to pursue a degree in English Honours from the University of Delhi.


After completing her graduation, Bajwa moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in modelling. She participated in several modelling contests and eventually became a popular model, appearing in commercials and print advertisements.


In 2013, Bajwa made her acting debut in the Punjabi film industry with the film Best of Luck, which was a commercial success. She then went on to appear in several other Punjabi films, including Punjab 1984, Sardaar Ji 2, Nikka Zaildar, and Super Singh. She has also acted in the Hindi film Street Dancer 3D, which was released in 2020.



Bajwa is also a trained dancer and has participated in several dance competitions. She has won the title of "Pond's Femina Miss India Punjab 2012" and "Miss World Punjaban" in 2013. She has also been a finalist in the Femina Miss India contest.


Apart from her acting and modelling career, Bajwa is actively involved in social work. She has supported various causes like women's empowerment and education.


Bajwa is known for her stunning looks and impeccable fashion sense. She has graced the covers of several fashion magazines, including Femina and Filmfare. She has a massive fan following on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter, where she frequently shares pictures and updates about her personal and professional life.
